Children and Youth

We partner with Lighthouse Ministries to provide age-appropriate ministry clubs for the children and youth in our neighborhood. Youth leaders and mentors help to provide a safe place for our students to learn more about God and who he created them to be. We believe that by building diverse relationships and a strong, loving community, we can better understand the character and love of God.

Middle School Club

Grades 6-8 – Meets on Tuesday evenings three times a month from 6:30-8:30pm. Students participate in small group studies and field trip opportunities, which creates space for them to ask questions, discuss relevant topics, and learn how God’s story is lived through everyday life.

High School Club

Grades 9-12 – Meets on Monday evenings three times a month from 7:00-9:00pm. HSC is all about creating a space of acceptance and belonging for students from different backgrounds. Students participate in team building activities, topical studies, conferences, and field trips.

“Jesus is the center of our faith. Community is the center of our lives. Reconciliation is the center of our work.”

Adults and Neighborhood

Senior Citizen Lunch

On the 3rd Friday of the month, seniors from our neighborhood gather together for lunch at 11:30am in the church fellowship hall. Bring a dish and join us for lunch!

*Please note: Senior Lunch is currently not meeting due to our church’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Book Discussion Groups

Covering topics ranging from theological topics to social issues (for example, America’s Original Sin by Jim Wallis), we meet at various point throughout the year to read through and discuss a book together. These are intentional places for us to learn and grow together.

Discipleship Groups

First Mennonite’s Discipleship Groups are made up of 3-4 individuals who check-in with each other every other week. These groups are designed to intentionally create space to deepen our relationships with Christ; and through the process, develop deeper relationships with one another.
